Shepherd's Bush Market

Harry Dobbs Design

Working with architects BFLS, the aim was to design a proposal for the overall master planning for the redesign of Shepard's Bush Market.

The aim of the project was to combine the new residential blocks with the existing market and making the area a more attractive place to be. By combining a mix of temporary stools, permanent shops in the viaducts and pop up spaces it gives the existing traders the opportunity to continue selling in the way that they would be used to.

By opening up the market area it allows for safer pedestrian routes and gives goods deliveries the ability to pass through the area. The project was very much a community driven project with the aim of giving back to the community after some of the older shops would be being taken away.
